GODFREY – The Trailblazer men’s basketball team continues winning at home, posting a 90-72 victory over the Rend Lake College Warriors on Wednesday in the George C. Terry River Bend Arena.
The men are 7-2 at home and 9-9 overall this season — averaging 88 points per game and allowing only 72 points per game.
Trailblazer Davi Austin led his team against the Warriors putting 19 points on the board while freshman Ugor Hortum posted 18 points and eight rebounds in the game. John “J.J.” Cratit contributed 14 points and six rebounds, and Milos Petrovic scored 10 points and four rebounds.
Men’s Basketball Coach Deon Thomas said his team played very competitively and dominated the second half.
“I’m very proud of the way the guys played tonight against a very tough Rend Lake team,” said Thomas.
The Trailblazers are on the road for the next two games and play Vincennes on Jan. 25 and Lake Land on Jan. 29.
The next home game will be against Lincoln Trail on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m.
