Melbourne, Florida – After a 3-1 loss to Laramie County Community College on Tuesday, L&C will face off against Iowa Central Community College during the second game of pool play at the NJCAA D1 Women’s Soccer Championship tournament. Iowa Central is currently ranked third in the nation.

After taking the lead in the first half against Laramie County, the Trailblazers fell behind after halftime. Forward Nicole Howard, of Rolla, Missouri, scored the Trailblazers’ single goal, with Cassidy Foley, forward, of Quincy, Illinois, getting the assist.

The Trailblazers will play ICCC at 11:30 a.m. (12:30 p.m. EST) at the Titan Soccer Complex at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

A second loss for the Trailblazers tomorrow would end their time in Florida and send them back home.

“We are going to come out and play the best we can tomorrow,” said Head Coach Tim Rooney. “If we can win by 3, we can still win our bracket. Our backs are against the wall and we know that, but we are going to go out and do the best we can.”
