    Teenager Mmoh wins singles title at L&C USTA Futures

    In a grueling match that took longer than three hours to complete — both due to weather and help from a trainer — Michael Mmoh earned a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 victory over Jared Hiltzik to take the singles title at the 18th annual Lewis and Clark Community College's Men's Futures Tournament.

    Singles final set for Lewis and Clark Futures event

    Hiltzik moved on to the singles championship match at the 2015 Lewis & Clark Community College Men's Future Tournament with a quick 6-2, 6-3 victory over Clay Thompson in a little more than 70 minutes.

    USTA Doubles Finals Wrap Up at Lewis and Clark

    Ahlvers Earns No. 1 Regional Golf Title and Trip to Nationals

    Lewis and Clark Community College Golfer Colin Ahlvers earned the championship title in the NJCAA D-II Region 24 Tournament last week—and made history by becoming the college’s first regional golf champion.

    Women's Tennis Finishes Season Ranked No. 22 in the U.S.

    The women’s tennis team finished the season ranked 22nd in the country after their final match of the NJCAA National Championships in Tucson, Arizona.

    Three Trailblazers Still in Play at Nationals

    The women’s tennis team had a rough second day at the NJCAA National Championships. The Trailblazers lost six matches and dropped in the national ranking from 14th to 22nd overall.

    Trailblazers Wrap First Day at Nationals

    The women’s tennis team finished the first day of the NJCAA National Championships in Tucson, Arizona, tied for 13th with five other teams by earning six points from their three main draw wins.

    Trailblazers Win Region Championship and Trip to Nationals

    The Lewis and Clark Community College men’s tennis team won the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Region 24 Championship against Kaskaskia 5-4 on April 17 and earned a repeat trip to the National Championship tournament May 11-15 in Plano, Texas.

    Women’s Tennis Sweeps Fontbonne to Finish Regular Season

    The women’s tennis team defeated visiting Fontbonne University (NCAA, DIII) with a decisive 9-0 victory on Wednesday, April 15. The win gave the team a final regular season overall record of 9-7.

    Women’s Tennis Uses Tiebreakers to Down McKendree

    The women’s tennis team defeated to visiting McKendree University (NCAA, DII) by the narrowest of margins in a hard-fought 5-4 decision on Tuesday, April 14. The win boosts the team’s season record to 8-7.

    L&C to Offer Wide Variety of Volleyball Camps this Summer

    Lewis and Clark’s College for Kids program has a number of volleyball camps, including a new one-day camp for boys, planned as part of its athletic programming this summer.

    Trailblazers Win Region Championship and Trip to Nationals

    The women’s tennis team defeated Rend Lake College 6-3 on Saturday, April 11 for their fourth consecutive Region 24 Championship. The finals were held on a beautiful spring Saturday at the Andy Simpson Tennis Complex on the Lewis and Clark Community College campus.

    Trailblazer Sweep Blackburn

    The women’s tennis team swept Blackburn College (NCAA, DIII) on Monday, 9-0, at the Blackburn campus in Carlinville. The win boosts the team’s season record to 6-6.

    Trailblazers Down Rend Lake for Region 24 Lead

    The women’s tennis team defeated Rend Lake College 7-2 on April 1. The victory gives the Trailblazers sole possession of first place in Region 24 with a record of 3-0 and the top seed in the upcoming Regional Championships next weekend.

    Trailblazers Sweep Kaskaskia

    The women’s tennis team snapped a three-match losing streak with a decisive 9-0 win over Kaskaskia College on March 31. This brings the Trailblazers’ overall record to 4-6 but 2-0 in Region 24 competition.

    Women’s Tennis Loses 0-9 to Visiting Quincy University

    The women’s tennis team lost to visiting Quincy University 0-9 on March 27. The loss drops the team’s season record to 3-5.

    Women’s Tennis Loses 4-5 at Missouri Baptist University

    The women’s tennis team lost a close match on the road to Missouri Baptist University 4-5 0-9 on March 30. The loss drops the team’s season record to 3-6. The two teams have traditionally played very close matches. The Trailblazers defeated the Spartans 5-4 in their fall match played at Lewis and Clark.

    Women’s Tennis Takes Third at Tournament

    The women’s tennis team finished in third place at the Hack Kellner Tournament held in Springfield, Illinois, on March 20 and 21.

    Women’s Tennis Wins Home Opener Over Kaskaskia

    The women’s tennis team won their home opener and first regional match of the season with a 9-0 sweep of Kaskaskia College on Tuesday at the Andy Simpson Tennis Center. The win, the Trailblazers second in a row, boosts their overall record to 2-0 on the young season.

    Women’s Tennis Wins Season Opener

    The women’s tennis team went west and won over the weekend. The Trailblazers defeated Stephens College (NAIA) in Columbia, MO, for their first victory of the season. The final score was 6-3.

    Taylor Selected NSCAA Scholar All-America First Team

    Miriam Taylor, the nation’s No. 1 junior college women’s soccer scorer, recently was named to the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Junior College Women’s Scholar All-America First Team.

    Men’s Basketball Wins Against Olney Central Wednesday

    The Lewis and Clark Community College men’s basketball team started off the new year with a 77-70 win Wednesday, Jan. 7 against Olney Central College at home in the George C. Terry River Bend Arena.

    Lewis and Clark Community College soccer players Miriam Taylor, Nicole Howard, Melvin Becket, and Jack Filla were named All-Americans by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) this past week.

    A lone goal in the first half by the nation’s leading scorer, Miriam Taylor, earned the Lewis and Clark Community College women’s soccer team a regional semi-final win today 1-0 over Parkland College, in Champaign, Illinois.

    The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) lists the Trailblazers at No. 1 with 14 points and 92 goals this season. The second closest team in goals is Spartanburg Methodist with 63.

    The Lewis and Clark Community College men’s soccer team posted a 1-0 win Sunday against regional rival and undefeated Parkland College. The win puts the Trailblazers at 1-0 in Region 24 of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

    The Lewis and Clark Community College women’s soccer team played their seventh game and got their seventh win and seventh shutout yesterday with their 13-0 win against Maple Woods College in Kansas City.

    Bike MS Announces Lewis and Clark’s Godfrey Campus as the 2015 Site for its 2015 Gateway Getaway Ride

    The two-day ride, which will take place Sept. 12-13, 2015, will start and finish both days at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey. The beautiful, historic campus will also provide a home to the charity event’s festival area and camping accommodations.
