Signature Gardens and Sculpture

  • The Grove
  • The Bosque
  • N.O. Nelson Le Clair Garden Court

The College's vision recofnizes the importance of an educational environment that is highly conductive to learning, social interaction, and personal enrichment. With the Foundation's leadership and support, L&C has become what many consider an exceptionally beautiful campus and a tourist destination with awe-inspiring gardens, landscaping, and original sculpture.

Nurse-Managed Centers for Healthcare and Education

With an emphasis on preventive services and education, this program provides physical/mental health screening, primary care, and preventive treatment and counseling, dental services, physical examinations, and immunizations. These and other services targeted to the underserved are currently provided at 3 locations in the L&C district, with plans to add a mobile health care center in the near future.

Templin Nursing Building

The Foundation was a major force in the funding and sponsorship of the recently opened Templin Nursing Building. This state of the art facility will triple the number of highly trained registered nurses desperately needed by the region and the nation as a whole.

Cultural Programming

In 2007, the Monticello Foundation sponsored a major art exhibit featuring the original work of acclaimed Chicago artist Ed Paschke. That same year, the Foundation sponsored the restoration of an original Steinway piano once owned by Harriet Haskell, one of the 19th century headmasters of the former School for Women. With the Foundation's support, L&C is now one of the only two "all Steinway" campuses in the United States
