2007 NJCAA Region 24 Champions! Women's tennis, despite a 2-8 regular season, played its best tennis at the right time of the season and defeated Rend Lake College 5-4 in a dual match on Saturday October 13th. The match began at 11:00 a.m. at the Andy Simpson Tennis Complex but had to be relocated to the Eric and Jane Hexberg Indoor Tennis Complex on the campus of Principia College in Elsah, Illinois due to rain. The lengthy delay as the tournament field moved to the indoor site did not hinder the Trailblazers as they won 2 of 3 doubles and 3 of 6 singles matches. The win qualifies the team for the NJCAA National Tournament to be held in Tuscon, Arizona in May 2008. Congratulations are in order for Head Coach Lea Plarski, Assistant Coach Joan Warrington and squad members Kayla Arbuthnot, Meghan Taake, Kristy Ringhausen, Meghan Edsall, Tabitha Aguinaga and Brandy Nasello for a great team performance!
