    Trailblazers Four-Peat for Region 24 Championship

    The women’s tennis team defeated Rend Lake College 6-3 on Saturday, April 11 for their fourth consecutive Region 24 Championship. The finals were held on a beautiful spring Saturday at the Andy Simpson Tennis Complex on the Lewis and Clark Community College campus.

    Trailblazer Sweep Blackburn

    The women’s tennis team swept Blackburn College (NCAA, DIII) on Monday, 9-0, at the Blackburn campus in Carlinville. The win boosts the team’s season record to 6-6.

    Trailblazers Down Rend Lake for Region 24 Lead

    The women’s tennis team defeated Rend Lake College 7-2 on April 1. The victory gives the Trailblazers sole possession of first place in Region 24 with a record of 3-0 and the top seed in the upcoming Regional Championships next weekend.

    Trailblazers Sweep Kaskaskia

    The women’s tennis team snapped a three-match losing streak with a decisive 9-0 win over Kaskaskia College on March 31. This brings the Trailblazers’ overall record to 4-6 but 2-0 in Region 24 competition.

    Women’s Tennis Loses 0-9 to Visiting Quincy University

    The women’s tennis team lost to visiting Quincy University 0-9 on March 27. The loss drops the team’s season record to 3-5.

    Women’s Tennis Loses 4-5 at Missouri Baptist University

    The women’s tennis team lost a close match on the road to Missouri Baptist University 4-5 0-9 on March 30. The loss drops the team’s season record to 3-6. The two teams have traditionally played very close matches. The Trailblazers defeated the Spartans 5-4 in their fall match played at Lewis and Clark.

    Women’s Tennis Takes Third at Tournament

    The women’s tennis team finished in third place at the Hack Kellner Tournament held in Springfield, Illinois, on March 20 and 21.

    Women’s Tennis Wins Home Opener Over Kaskaskia

    The women’s tennis team won their home opener and first regional match of the season with a 9-0 sweep of Kaskaskia College on Tuesday at the Andy Simpson Tennis Center. The win, the Trailblazers second in a row, boosts their overall record to 2-0 on the young season.

    Women’s Tennis Wins Season Opener

    The women’s tennis team went west and won over the weekend. The Trailblazers defeated Stephens College (NAIA) in Columbia, MO, for their first victory of the season. The final score was 6-3.

    The volleyball team has designated their home match on Thursday, Oct. 9, to raise awareness of breast cancer.

    Women’s Tennis Team Wraps the Fall Season with a Win

    The Lewis and Clark Community College women’s tennis team wrapped up the fall scrimmage season with a clutch 5-4 win over Missouri Baptist University Friday, Sept. 26, at the Andy Simpson Tennis Center on the LC campus.

    Lewis and Clark Community College is accepting nominations for coaches and athletes to be inducted into its Trailblazer Athletics Hall of Fame through Dec. 1, 2014.

    Morrissey Sisters to Play Tennis Tomorrow at L&C Match

    Although they won’t compete against each other, tomorrow will be like a tennis homecoming for local sisters Anna and Claire Morrissey when the Quincy University Hawks face The Trailblazers at 1 p.m. at the Andy Simpson Tennis Complex.

    Women’s Tennis Team Finishes Season No. 20 in Nation

    The Trailblazers women’s tennis team finished the 2013-2014 season tied with Laredo Community College for No. 20 in the nation during the NJCAA D-I National Championship Tournament at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas.

    The Lewis and Clark Community College women’s tennis team earned a return trip to the NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament Saturday with an 8-1 regional win against Rend Lake College at the Andy Simpson Tennis Complex.

    The women’s tennis team won its first NJCAA Region 24 match of the season with a 5-4 defeat of Rend Lake on March 19 at the Andy Simpson Tennis Complex.

    Award-Winning Men’s Pro Tennis Tourney Returns to L&C

    The excitement of Wimbledon may be over and the U.S. Open is still a few weeks away. In the meantime, residents of the St. Louis metro area can watch and meet some of the world’s top-ranked professional men’s tennis players within minutes from home. L&C will host the United States Tennis Association’s (USTA) Men’s Futures Pro Circuit Tennis Tournament July 18-July 28.
