The U.S is in a major building mode and engineers play a key role. After all, they make sure things work, from the smallest compounds to the most complex networks to the longest bridges. The Department of Labor predicts that engineering will be one of the top five areas of employment for the next decade.
If you have always wanted to be an engineer, now’s your time. Are you strong in math and science? Even more reason to come on board.
L&C’s pre-engineering program positions you for entry as a junior into a four-year college or university. At L&C you can major in a variety of engineering areas: chemical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial/manufacturing, mechanical (and general).
For other engineering majors, for example, aeronautical, agricultural, and nuclear, you can work closely with the transfer institution and your advisor to select appropriate courses.
Regardless of your interest area, L&C’s program is specifically designed for completion of your baccalaureate degree at a senior institution. Plan with your advisor no later than the start of your second year at L&C to make sure you meet the general education and engineering requirements of your transfer institution.
Then move forward and help build the nation and the world.
