Project READ Tutoring
If you are 17 years of age or older and need extra help with reading, you may benefit from Project READ’s free one-on-one tutoring services.
Maybe you would like to help and become a tutor for Project READ. You do not have to be a college graduate or a teacher to tutor. Project READ trains you. Come feel good about helping another individual learn to read or improve their skills.
Project READ matches trained community volunteers with interested learners. All services are free including volunteer training and materials used by both the volunteer and learner. Project READ is teaching the "language of literacy" and is making a difference in the five county area served by Lewis & Clark Community College.

Interested in becoming a tutor?
Did you know - an estimated four million Illinois adults have low skills in performing reading and math tasks that keep them from using printed/written information to function successfully in today’s society.
More than 60,000 people in L&C's district struggle with basic literacy. Are you ready to make a difference in your community by helping others learn how to read?
