Rank and Promotion

A committee on rank and promotion has been established under the Agreement between the Lewis & Clark Board of Trustees and the Faculty Association to consider faculty applications for promotions.

One faculty representative is elected from and by each academic division for two-year terms.  Two at large representatives, who are selected from academic disciplines different from any other currently serving representative,  are also elected.

The rank and promotion committee recommends candidates for promotion and also recommends faculty for teaching awards to the College President and the Board of Trustees for their review and consideration. The Committee conducts an annual Promotion Portfolio Workshop for eligible faculty candidates in January.
