L&C’s Assessment Center provides complete testing services.

Placement Testing

All new students who wish to enroll in a degree or certificate program or who plan to take an English or math course must take the College Placement Test (CPT). These computerized tests determine your skills in reading, English, and math.

To earn more about the CPT and see sample questions go to Preparing to Take the College Placement Test.

Make-up tests

Instructors may also use the Assessment Center for make-up tests or to allow students more flexibility in scheduling a test.

Pre-Admission Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Testing

Students wanting to be considered for admission to the Dental Assisting or Dental Hygiene program must take a Health Occupations Aptitude Examination. This test is offered once a year, typically in January. More information about the test and other admission requirements for these programs are available on the program of study pages.
