GODFREY — While schedules will receive some fine tuning, but Lewis and Clark Community College athletic director Doug Stotler has plenty of work remaining when comes to putting together a plan for the junior college’s athletic teams’ return to action, which will begin in January.

“We do have an updated return plan from the NJCAA,” Stotler said. “But it’s mainly a few date changes. I expect there will be a few more.”

What’s more pressing are the logistics and the implementation for each sport, once play returns.

“We have to see how and if the virus spreads or doesn’t. That’s obviously the chief concern,” Stotler said. “But once we are back on the fields or in the gyms, we need to have a plan in place that will address COVID-19. It’s not going to be a return to normal like it was before the pandemic hit.
