FOLEY, Ala. — Lewis and Clark Community College’s Alec Hilliard fired a 6-over par 78 Monday and is tied for 63rd place after the first day of play Monday at the NJCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships at Glen Lakes Golf Club.
The individual leader is Southeast’s Kean Kontor, who shot a 2-under 70. He’s one shot ahead of eight golfers tied for second, with another six tied another shot back.
The group tied at second includes East Central College’s Jacob Hamner, Jalen Hodges of Parkland, Darryl Fulgham of Tyler, Rhett Walters of Meridian, Will Kidder of Meridian, Micah Morris of Kansas City CC and Austin Hardman of Mesa, Arizona.
Hilliard, a sophomore from Civic Memorial, is tied with eight other golfers, including Braden Wheeler of Southeast, Ryan Skislak of Grand Rapids, Lake Koenig of Black Hawk, Lewis Hopkinson of North Central, Mitchell Fifer of Meridian, Hunter Maines of Surry, Scott Swayne of North Central and Reinhardt Suanderson of Southwestern CC.
