GODFREY — LCCC men’s basketball coach Doug Stotler knows player turnover is part of the game when it comes to any college sport. And in the case of coaching a junior college basketball team, it’s magnified.
To wit: A roster with freshmen taking 11 of the 15 roster spots – and one of the four sophomores is a transfer.
Talk about a new-look team.
“It’s the nature of the JUCO business,” said Stotler, whose team is off to a 2-1 start heading into Tuesday’s home game against Lake Land. “I don’t like it, but that’s part of junior college athletics’ purpose – to get players prepared for the next level.
