Presents solving quadratic equations by completing the square and using the quadratic formula; simplifying rational exponents, roots, and radicals; solving absolute value and radical equations, and their respective applications; and solving equations graphically.
Prerequisite: C or better in MATH 16A or placement by exam. Computer software is required for this course. A graphing calculator is required for this course. Check with the College Bookstore or the Mathematics Department for recommended models.
