    In partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Workforce Education, Solutions & Safety Training at Lewis and Clark Community College offers two professional development programs to address the needs of adults who wish to broaden their perspective of the human resource profession. These courses are designed to present the participant with essential knowledge for entry into exempt positions in the human resource development/personnel function. The programs offer the opportunity to strengthen skills, boost confidence and advance career opportunities.

    SHRM Essentials of Human Resources

    The SHRM Essentials® of Human Resources is an introductory course offering a comprehensive overview of human resource roles and responsibilities. It gives participants critical knowledge to help reduce potentially costly lawsuits and improves their ability to handle challenging HR issues. Recently updated with modern practices, this course is ideal for those who are just starting out in the human resources profession, or those who are looking for an effective way to boost their employee management skills.

    Spring 2023 SHRM Essentials of Human Resources Course

    A virtual online course designed specifically for adult learners, this interactive system provides a personalized roadmap that combines in-depth HR knowledge with real-life situations to help you master the material and set you up for success on your exam.
