Kindermusik is music-making with a purpose.

Early introduction to music and movement impacts your child’s brain and body development in a way few other learning methods can. We should know. We’ve been transforming the lives of children, parents and teachers around the world since 1978.

Science has shown that children of any age learn more when the learning is playful and fun. Kindermusik kids laugh, smile, stomp, play, kick, clap, jump, sing, and dance. But having fun is just the beginning.

Move & Groove (Level 4)

Kindermusik's "Move & Groove" is an award-winning enrichment program for preschoolers. It is a research-based language and early literacy curriculum built around music.  This curriculum helps develop pre-literacy and language skills through a child's most-loved rituals: music and storytime. "Move & Groove" supports the early childhood standards and requirements for "high-quality programs" as defined by the National Institute for Early Education. Plus, it aligns with pre-K national and state standards.

Students who received Kindermusik instruction showed significantly larger gains (32% more improvement) on the Phonological Awareness Test (PALS™) than did students who did not receive Kindermusik instruction. These results indicate that the Kindermusik program successfully boosts preschoolers' language and literacy skills.

Curriculum Description

Age Range: Preschool (maximum class size is eight)
Class Structure: New unit theme for each month; each contains four lessons
Class Length: 30 minutes*

What You and Your Child Will Experience in Class

• Songs and rhymes to develop phonetic awareness and early reading skills
• Tapping, clacking, and ringing rhythm instruments in time with music to improve hand-eye coordination
• Focused listening with music to improve skills in following directions
• Instrument play to strengthen fine motor skills
• Developmentally-appropriate songs to develop vocal chords and expressive speech
• Learning that emphasizes storytelling, imaginative play, and taking turns

Registration includes

• Developmentally appropriate curriculum
• 4-week classes with 12 different monthly themes
• State-of-the-art Monthly Digital At-Home Materials (one per family)

Tuition

$65 plus one $12 digital at-home materials fee per family
