    The Path to Enrollment

    Congratulations on taking your first step to getting started at Lewis and Clark Community College! This page will be your guide to making sure your admissions process is as smooth as possible.

    Submit an Application

    Apply Now if you are a first-time student. Returning students, click here to set up an appointment.

    Apply for Aid

    Apply for Financial Aid and apply for L&C Scholarships.

    Send your Transcripts

    Send your official high school and/or college transcripts to Enrollment Services at 5800 Godfrey Rd. Godfrey, Illinois, 62035 or email to enroll@lc.edu.

    Take a Placement Test

    If you graduated within the last four years, we can use your high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores to determine which classes will work best for you. Otherwise, contact us at (618) 468-5232 or testingcenter@lc.edu to set up your placement test.

    Attend Orientation

    Sign up for New Student Orientation which can include orientation info, walk-in advising, printing schedules, access to the bookstore, getting a parking passes, tours and receiving your student ID. More info is available at www.lc.edu/orientation or by contacting the enrollment office.

    See an Advisor and Register for Classes

    Meet with an academic advisor to discuss course placement, degree or certificate requirements and class selection.

    Get your Books

    Contact the L&C bookstore to set up a delivery or pick up materials for your registered classes.

    Pay for Class

    Accept financial aid offer and make a payment or set up a payment plan.

     

  • Get Started!

    It's all about you at L&C. The admissions process is a little different depending on who you are and what you want to do. To get things rolling, select the option that best describes you!

    • Take 12-week transfer-ready credit classes
    • Complete a Degree or Certificate Program
    • Take a non-credit or Continuing Education Course
    • Take a course while still in High School
    • Earn College Credit through Advanced Placement
    • Complete High School through GED
    • Enter as an International Student
    • Learn about options for adult learners

    12-Week Classes

    If circumstances beyond your control forced you to miss spring enrollment, don't worry; L&C has you covered. We've got a transfer-ready schedule just waiting for you.

    • General Psychology (PSYC-131-T1, 3 credits), 4:10-7:30 p.m. – Introduces psychology as the scientific study of behavior and mental processes.
    • Public Speaking (SPCH 131-T1, 3 credits), 11:30 a.m. – 1:10 p.m. – Covers theory and practice of platform and discussion techniques and development of speech standards through evaluating speeches.
    • Mythology (LITT-136-T1, 3 credits), 1:30-3:10 p.m. – Explores the main Greco-Roman myths and their relationship to modern age.
    • Non-Western Music (MUSI-134-T1, 3 credits), 12:45- 2:25 p.m. – Covers the basic elements of music (melody, rhythm, harmony, and form) and perceptive listening as they relate to non-western music.
    • Western Civilization I (HIST-131-T80, 3 credits), online (no class meetings)  – Explores the emergence of leading political, economic, social and cultural processes that characterize modern Western Civilization beginning with ancient civilizations and ending with the seventeenth century.
    • Intro to Astronomy (PHSC-141-T82, 3 credits), online (no class meetings)  – Examines the universe: the solar system, stars and galaxies.

    Degree or Certificate Programs

    You can apply to Lewis and Clark in a number of ways. You can:

    1. Fill out and submit our Web application form.
    2. Download, print and complete a form, then fax or mail your application in to the Enrollment Center.

    3. Apply in person at one of our locations.

    Whether it’s beefing up your leadership skills for a well-deserved promotion, exploring a new hobby, training your staff on the latest changes in your organization, learning the latest traffic laws to keep your insurance rates low and your record clean or empowering your kids with knowledge, what you know makes all the difference.

    High School Partnership

    What if you could earn college credit while taking some of your high school courses? With L&C's High School Partnership/Dual Credit program, you can. This free, credited program can give you a jumpstart on your college career. For more information, visit our High School Partnership Program and talk to your school counselor today.

    If you are either still in high school, or a home-schooled student who is high school age, and would like to take a college class that is not part of the High School Partnership program (either on the Godfrey campus or at one of the Community Education Centers) please download the form below. You will need to take this form to your high school, or the high school you would be attending if you were not a home-school student, and then submit the completed form to the Enrollment Center on the Godfrey campus.     Advanced Placement (AP) Program

    Did you know that with the Advanced Placement program, L&C offers credit towards degree required courses for high school students that can demonstrate knowledge of the corresponding subject? Learn more

    GED and other Adult Education Services

    Learning doesn't stop when you leave school, and there's always room to grow. If you have been putting off finishing your education, Lewis and Clark Community College's Adult Education department can assist you in preparing for your future. GED/Adult Basic Education provides you with the skills for a better job or entry in post secondary education.
