In June of 2020, Governor Pritzker signed Public Act 101-0642 into law, creating a number of requirements aimed at helping the state prepare for holding the 2020 General Election in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This law provides for the eligibility of high schools and college students to apply to work as election judges. Students are encouraged to check with their local county clerk's office to see if positions are available.

If you are a resident of Madison County, the Madison County Clerk's Office is looking to employ students as election judges. More information including qualifications, rate of pay, hours and an online application is available at https://www.co.madison.il.us/departments/county_clerk/elections/election_judges.php.
