Lewis and Clark’s two-year program prepares ADNs who are capable of effective use of the nursing process in providing care to one or a group of individuals in order to promote health and manage health problems. The ADN functions as a team member to meet the diverse needs of individuals, families and communities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
L&C’s program includes classroom, lab, simulation instruction, and clinical experience each semester in acute care settings, extended care facilities, and community health care agencies.
Graduates meet the requirements to apply for the NCLEX-RN board exam, which they need to pass to earn their Registered Nursing license. Then, they can go right to work if they choose.
Many may decide to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) following the program, and L&C makes it easy with numerous transfer agreements that ensure a smooth transition. Please let your advisor know if this is the path you intend to take.
