Password Management

Your password helps protect your personal information and keeps your college account secure. If you've forgotten your password or see a message that it has expired, our Password Reset Guide will walk you through resetting it and regaining access to your account. If you are a new student or have taken dual-credit courses, contact the Help Desk at (618) 468-HELP or helpdesk@lc.edu to access your password.

  • Password Expiration

Every 180 days, L&C student credentials will expire. To update your expired password at any time, visit the login page for Self-Service and select “Change Password?" under the sign-in button. If you do not remember your current password, use the "forgot username" or "forgot password" options.

Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a two-factor authentication solution that helps boost security by verifying user identity, establishing device trust, and providing a secure connection to networks and applications. Starting July 1, 2024, all students will be required to use Duo MFA to access their college email accounts. This will be implemented to increase our security posture and meet regulatory and insurance coverage requirements.

Students and team members will have the same options for using Duo authentication to protect their accounts. You can download the Duo Mobile app, found in the smartphone’s app store. Students who have a cell phone without smartphone capabilities will still be able to receive authentication requests via call or text message (messaging rates may apply). If a student does not have either of the above options, they may reach out to the Helpdesk directly for alternative methods to authenticate using Duo.

More information about Duo Multi-Factor Authentication is available here.

Wi-Fi Access

The college campus is equipped with Wi-Fi, which you can use to connect your devices to the internet. To connect, simply select the network LC-Wireless, and your device will redirect you to a site to enter your L&C credentials to join the network.

L&C Email

Did you know that student and team member email accounts can be accessed from smartphones and tablets? IT recommends using the Microsoft Outlook Mobile app, available for iOS and Android devices. When signing in, select the Microsoft 365 option and enter your Lewis and Clark Community College credentials.

Students and team members may also use their device's built-in email application. In your device's email settings, select Add Account, choose Microsoft 365 as the account type when prompted, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your LC email account. On iPhone and iPad devices, account settings are typically found in the device's Settings app. On Android devices, account setup options may be located within the device settings or the email application being used, depending on the type/model of Android device.

Please note: If you reset your LC account password, you may be prompted to sign in to your email app again using your updated credentials.

For assistance with setting up email or troubleshooting email-related issues, please contact the Help Desk.
