Interactive Mural

Lewis and Clark Community College holds an annual contest to give current students the opportunity to leave their mark on campus in the form of an interactive mural.

What Makes a Mural Interactive?

An interactive mural is one that incorporates a viewer's participation in the art itself. We're talking about an Insta-worthy piece of art that visitors can pose with and share on social media.

Timeline

interactive mural 2025Each year, we will put out a call for artwork to L&C students. The timeline allows for submissions to be collected, voted on and chosen, with an ample amount of time for the artist to complete the winning mural during the Spring semester.

This Year's Winner

“You Can Overcome Anything,”

Grace Becker, Graphic Design/Fine Arts, Class of 2025

“My design takes inspiration from medieval manuscripts. Visitors can pose with both the sword and shield or can team up with a partner. I chose a dragon to fight because they are large and malicious, and it can seem like there is no way to defeat them. The dragon symbolizes the great obstacles we face in life. As someone on the verge of graduating, everything can seem big and scary–but if you face your fears head on, you can overcome them.”
