LC Hosts Fourth Annual Always Late TV Movie Awards

Lewis and Clark Community College hosted the Always Late TV Movie Awards for the fourth year in a row this past weekend, March 21-22, 2026.

The awards show and movie festival, created by LC Alumnus Kevin Edwards, draws filmmakers, actors, and creative talent from across the United States and around the world, gathered to celebrate independent film and the people who make it. Isabella Torregrossa served as Assistant Festival Director.

Among the festivities, movie screenings took place on Saturday, March 21, along with Q&A sessions with filmmakers and cast members, moderated by LC English Professor Steve Higgins. Attendees then gathered Sunday, March 22, for a red-carpet experience and the culminating awards show.

"The show is known for being a one-of-a-kind experience that blends an awards presentation with a theatrical stage show that is unpredictable and entertaining,” Edwards said.

Special guest presenters included Steve Ewing of the band The Urge and the Steve’s Hot Dogs restaurant chain in St. Louis. Three Lewis and Clark Community College faculty members also presented. In addition to Higgins, Sociology Professor Jen Cline and Music Professor Peter Hussey each presented multiple awards.

The Always Late TV Movie Awards is open to the public and welcomes film fans, students, and members of the community who want to experience independent film and meet the filmmakers behind the work. It takes place each spring.
